TCOM Educational Conclave 2022
Conference Overview:
The Annual Education Conclave of UNTHSC Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine is a developmental workshop for leaders, teaching physicians, and administrators of undergraduate medical education sites and graduate medical education programs affiliated with UNTHSC/TCOM. Updates on topics of current and emerging interest to the attendees will be presented, as well as general faculty and other leadership development programs.
The Conclave also serves as a state-level venue for the presentation of scholarly work by residents. Submissions are peer-reviewed and judged for the awarding of prizes and recognition.

Target Audience:
This live event is designed for teaching physicians, residents, and administrators of undergraduate and graduate medical education programs affiliated with UNTHSC/TCOM.
Statement of Need:
The need for ongoing faculty development for those involved in medical education programs is well established. Faculty, administrators, and coordinators come to their roles in medical education programs from a variety of practice, educational, and business backgrounds. This conclave offers the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills to support best practices across the continuum of medical education.
Educational Objectives:
Upon the completion of this activity, learners should be able to:
Implement current strategies for the successful delivery of the TCOM core undergraduate curriculum.
Plan, develop, and integrate curriculum strategies consistent with accreditation requirements for current and emerging topics in graduate medical education.
Accreditation and Credit Designation Statements:

The University of North Texas Health Science Center is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to award continuing medical education to physicians.
The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth designates this program for a maximum of 5.25 AOA Category 1A credits and will report CME and specialty commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.
HSC Participant Credit
The University of North Texas Health Science Center certifies this activity for 5.75 hours of participation for Undergraduate and Graduate Medical Education Coordinators.
